Valentine's Day Dessert Recipes!!
I've been getting a lot of request for some dessert recipes and since Valentine's Day is coming up, I've put together some of my favorite desserts. These can be eaten with a soulmate, significant other, mom, dad, friend, dog, or even within your own company. Enjoy these recipes and have a happy Valentine's Day!
Up first is a classic: Chocolate Dipped Strawberries
If you've never made them before, get ready for one of the easiest recipe ever!!
What you will need:
1 dozen strawberries
1/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips or white chocolate chips or whatever chocolate your heart desires
(Optional) Sprinkles, nuts, decorative chocolate, or anything else you want to top your strawberries with
Instructions:
1. Grab a baking sheet and line it with wax or parchment paper
2. Rise your strawberries and dry them completely, this part is optional but you can put them in the refrigerator for 30 minutes
3. In a microwave safe bowl, melt your chocolate for 45 seconds, if they aren't melted put them back in for 30 seconds but watch carefully because the chocolate can burn easily
4. Dip the strawberries into the melted chocolate and cover them completely except the stem
5. Top with the toppings of your choice
6. Place on the baking sheet then put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or until the chocolate is hardened
7. Enjoy!
This is for all of the vegans out there: Delicious Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of Stevia
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1 cup of vegan butter (Becel has an amazing vegan butter that is great for this recipe)
1/4 cup of vanilla almond milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 teaspoon of baking soda
2 heaping cups of flour
Pinch of salt
As many vegan chocolate chips that your heart desires
(Optional) Small spoonful of peanut butter
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Mixed softened butter into a large bowl with your stevia and your brown sugar (add peanut butter if desired)
3. Add vanilla almond milk with your vanilla until fully combined
4. Add in the rest of your ingredients flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until dough forms and all dry ingredients are mixed in
5. Add in your vegan chocolate and mix
6. Roll into small balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
7. Bake for 9-12 minutes then let them cool down
8. Enjoy with a nice glass of almond milk and a Nicolas Sparks movie
